As part of our ongoing CO2 reduction targets Capital Cooling have recently updated their fleet with the addition of 18 new, low carbon engineering vans.
The 18 new vans consist of a combination of Vauxhall Vivaro L1 and L2 models as well as a Vauxhall Combovan L2, all of which offer class leading CO2 emissions and mpg figures. The new Vivaro ecoFLEX models have a CO2 output of 155g/km compared to our previous models that were 200g/km.
In the past 12 months the average CO2 output of the Capital Cooling fleet has been reduced by more than 20%.
Cameron King, Transport Manager for the Capital group of companies, says this is just the start. “We challenged ourselves to reduce our fleet CO2 significantly over the last 12 months and we have made some great progress. All fleet vehicles from vans to cars and delivery trucks have been evaluated to ensure that we are using the most efficient models possible, as vehicle technology continues to evolve and improve so will our fleet.”
All of the new vans have been converted with Sortimo racking systems designed, supplied and fitted by Vanax Ltd in Glasgow in conjunction with Ogilvie Fleet, which offer maximum flexibility and storage options. This allows the Capital engineers to keep even more parts in their van for a greater first time fix rate.
