It is estimated that the theft of catalytic converters (CAT), diesel particulate filters and exhaust systems now account for up to 60% of all metal theft in the UK.

At risk vehicles include vans and light commercial vehicles (LCV's), motor homes, 4x4's and people carriers. These are targeted by thieves as, by virtue of their design,  they offer easy access to the vehicle's CAT.

There are two main ways which a CATLOC® works; by securing to the CAT itself and linking to the vehicle via a bespoke attachment method or by shielding the most vulnerable area of the CAT, denying easy access and preventing removal.

All CATLOC® products use marine grade stainless steel for strength and durability and are supplied with high security anti-tamper fixings.

All products are supplied as standard with the CATLOC® ISR® Police approved and Thatcham Accredited catalytic converter marking and registration system. This enables the CAT to be traced back to your vehicle and provides the best chance of a conviction being  secured, if found in the possession of a person. The CATLOC® ISR® system has proved to dramatically reduce the desirability of the CAT.

CATLOC® products have been designed for ease of installation and are supplied with all of the fixings and easy to follow, illustrated, instructions. Installation typically takes between 30-60 minutes, subject to vehicle application.
